AT&T, Teddy Abrams to be recognized with GLI’s Silver Fleur-De-Lis Awards

Louisville, Ky. (January 7, 2025) – Greater Louisville Inc. will honor AT&T and Teddy Abrams, Music Director of the Louisville Orchestra, with its prestigious Silver Fleur-De-Lis Awards. Each year, these awards are given to celebrate individuals and organizations who have made the Louisville community a better place to live and work over the past year. This year’s recipients will be recognized at GLI’s Annual Meeting presented by Baird on February 11 at the Kentucky International Convention Center.

“The Silver Fleur-De-Lis Awards recognize the biggest achievements in our community every year. Teddy Abrams and AT&T are passionate about our region and the people who call it home, and that passion continues to bring new opportunities we all benefit from,” said Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, GLI’s president and CEO. “While their contributions are vastly different, both are critical to our work in creating an inclusive and vibrant region.”

Abrams will be recognized with a Silver Fleur-De-Lis Award for his contributions to advancing Louisville’s thriving performing arts scene. Serving as Music Director of the Louisville Orchestra since 2014, Abrams has been the galvanizing force behind the Orchestra’s extraordinary artistic renewal and innovative community engagement. Last year, Abrams and the Louisville Orchestra took home a coveted GRAMMY Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo.

AT&T will be recognized with a Silver Fleur-De-Lis Award specifically recognizing inclusion excellence. This award was selected from nominations from the business community for individuals and businesses who continue to drive economic inclusion in the community. AT&T is being recognized for their investment in a bilingual store in South Louisville to cater to the large Spanish-speaking population in the community. The store, located on Outer Loop, now has a majority bilingual team and includes signage and display materials in both English and Spanish. This investment is critical to serving Greater Louisville’s diverse population and helping close the digital divide in the region.

GLI’s Annual Meeting, presented by Baird, is the region’s most anticipated gathering of business leaders each year. The event will also include the presentation of GLI’s inaugural Community Visionary Award to the Norton Healthcare Goodwill Opportunity Campus, a keynote discussion between top business leaders, and the unveiling of exciting announcements and priorities for the year ahead.

Tickets are available here.
