Greater Louisville Inc. Hires Two Senior Leaders, Expands Team of Talented Business Strategists
Louisville Ky. (January 30, 2025) – Greater Louisville Inc. kicked off 2025 with new hires in two senior roles. Kelly Gold joins the regional chamber and economic organization as Vice President of Marketing, Talent Attraction and Retention, while Lauren Yount serves in the Chief of Staff role.
Gold brings nearly two decades of marketing experience, most recently serving as Senior Director of Marketing, Branding, and Business Development for Louisville-based Alliance Cost Containment. In her role she will oversee GLI’s Live in Lou talent attraction initiative, attracting talent to the region through various digital platforms, guide workforce strategies and GLI’s partnership with the JCPS Academies of Louisville, and lead marketing and branding efforts.
Yount was hired as GLI’s Chief of Staff to oversee human resources, administration, governance, and operations processes. Prior to joining GLI she worked for 10 years at Stock Yards Bank and Trust as the Assistant Director and Vice President of Client Services where she led a team of more than 30.

GLI also recently hired Nicole Kaforski as Director of Economic Development. Kaforski most recently served as a Recruiting Manager for University of Louisville’s College of Business’ graduate programs and has nearly eight years of experience in higher education recruiting.
