Downtown is waiting for you to shop, eat, visit, play, and support. Our local downtown favorites are what make Louisville a fun and thriving city. We’re eclectic, laid back yet adventurous, welcoming, and there’s something different waiting for you around every corner. It’s time to get back to shopping in NuLu, meeting out-of-town friends for a drink in their downtown hotel lobby, and dining at some of Louisville’s best restaurants.
As a community, we have a duty to keep our friends and neighbors afloat, which is possible with your support. Downtown Louisville and the adjacent areas were those hit hardest by the effects of the pandemic. Now, you have the opportunity to support, uplift, and help rebuild Greater Louisville. Your friends need you; your community needs you, downtown needs you, Lou Needs You. Downtown is vibrant, welcoming, and safe… And downtown Louisville needs you.
Alongside Live in Lou, Louisville Downtown Partnership, Louisville Tourism, and Louisville Forward, GLI wants to make sure our downtown and adjacent areas like Portland, Russell, Smoketown, Butchertown, California, NuLu, and the Highlands thrive as we continue to reopen Greater Louisville and stimulate our economy.
Downtown is safe, fun, and open! Below you will find lists curated by Louisville Tourism that are constantly updating with new information pertaining to restaurants, events, and local attractions.
How to Feature your Business with Lou Needs You:
When featuring a local business we would start the post in your brand voice, introducing your business and any relevant info in a few words. Following that, however, we’d recommend sharing a quote from the owner/manager sharing your experience during quarantine, what you want your customers to know, and any relevant information you want to share in your own words. Text here can run longer given it is a more editorial approach. We also ask that you include the following hashtags in your post so that we can track reach: #LouNeedsYou #LiveInLou #DowntownStrong #DowntownLouNeedsU.
If you’re a business and you want to help promote downtown, here are some logos to use on your website and social media. If you’d like to use these in print, please contact us for approval.
