Greater Louisville Inc. launches inaugural development program for advanced manufacturing and logistics industry leaders

Louisville, Ky. (November 1, 2022) – Greater Louisville Inc. announced the launch of a new development program for rising leaders in the advanced manufacturing and logistics sector to connect, grow, and excel within the industry. An initiative of GLI’s Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics Network (AML), applications and nominations for the inaugural cohort of the AML Fellows are open now through December 31, 2022.

“Our region has grown an unmatched competitive advantage in the advanced manufacturing and logistics space. The AML fellows is a logical next step to help grow and retain talent and further connect the key companies in the industry to create a stronger AML community,” said Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, president and CEO of Greater Louisville Inc.

The inaugural and first-of-its-kind program in the region will run 10 months, from February through November 2023, and is designed for rising executive leaders. Each month, participants will take part in half-day sessions where they will hear from industry experts and thought leaders on a range of timely topics including sourcing and developing workforce, e-commerce, start-ups, the future of the electric vehicle (EV) industry, and more.

“As our regional economy grows, manufacturing and logistics will remain one of our core industry clusters. The AML Fellows program will provide an important platform to connect, engage, and develop the best and the brightest rising executives in the industry, said Don Fitzpatrick, retired IBM GM, principal of Brown, Durrell, and Co. and chair of GLI’s AML Network. “I believe this program will help retain existing talent in our region, source new talent, and ultimately create a stronger and better-connected industry.”

The curriculum for the program is structured similarly to GLI’s Health Enterprises Network widely successful development program, HEN Fellows, which has graduated more than 300 of Louisville’s health care leaders over the past 17 years.
