Last week, Louisville Metro Council voted to expand the Louisville Downtown Management district. This expansion was requested by the Louisville Downtown Partnership, who oversees programs and services for the central business district and will add the areas around Slugger Field and Angel’s Envy as well as the developing LOUMED district to the business improvement district that was created in 1991. These boundary changes take effect June 1.  

The expansion of the district will allow for safety, hospitality, and economic development opportunities and services for these added areas that are currently available for the other areas of downtown.
