Today, the General Assembly passed House Bill 500, which lifts previous regulations that prevented distilleries from private barrel selection programs and limited Greater Louisville’s bourbon tourism industry. Greater Louisville Inc. president and CEO, Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, issued the following statement praising the General Assembly:

“Greater Louisville Inc. applauds the General Assembly for passing House Bill 500, which legalizes distillery private barrel selection programs and expands visitor center offerings. Bourbon is a major part of Greater Louisville’s culture and tourism appeal, and this legislation will create parity with other alcohol industries and allow distilleries to offer specialty experiences to attract more visitors to our great city.”
