Why Internships

We believe that all companies that provide work-based learning opportunities will experience a return on their investment.

Here’s why:

  • College internships draw talent to Louisville from top universities and people are unlikely to move to a city they haven’t visited. Think of your program as an introduction to our city and your company.
  • Offering substantial opportunities helps ensure that scholars at our regional universities connect with the job market and are more likely to stay in Louisville.
  • Providing internships allows students to build the relevant experience needed to be prepared for work and to be a desirable job candidate.
  • By connecting with the newest members of our workforce, you are building your talent pipeline and your future customers.
  • Offering your employees the opportunity to manage interns will prepare them to be managers and leaders in the future.
