A global modular housing manufacturer is planting roots in Greater Louisville. In late February, GLI joined Mayor Greenberg and Governor Beshear to welcome London-based MMY US to West Louisville, which will bring more than $6 million in investment and over 70 high-paying jobs. MMY US manufactures high-quality modular apartments for urban infill sites; their process combines the efficiency of manufactured housing with the quality and scalability of traditional construction.

MMY US is part of modular strategy consultancy MMY Global, which has been leading modular construction globally since 2013. MMY Global clients include EY, PWC, England’s NHS and RAM-H.

GLI was actively involved with MMY US leadership in its search for a suitable location since they began exploring sites within the Greater Louisville region last summer. Following the lead of MMY US, GLI worked with several regional county partners to identify sites in an effort to maximize the likelihood of this project landing in the region. This is MMY’s first U.S. location.
