Make Your Voice Heard in 2018
We value our investors’ opinions. That’s why we hope you will take a few minutes to complete GLI’s Public Policy Survey. Your responses help GLI better understand the legislative and regulatory issues impacting you and your business.
Your input will be used to develop the priorities for our advocacy efforts for the upcoming Legislative Sessions in both Frankfort and Indianapolis. Please consider the needs of your company or organization, as well as the needs of our region when answering these questions. The survey will close at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 5th.
GLI’s Issue Committees and Public Policy Council use the survey responses to shape the 2018 Legislative Agenda which will be unveiled at the annual “Advocacy Into Action” event in November 2017. The Agenda is then used to lobby state legislators in both Kentucky and Indiana during the upcoming sessions and ultimately determines the business-competiveness of our region. This is an important time to make sure your business’ priorities are known. We encourage all of our investors to take the time to take this year’s survey.
GLI Advocacy would also like to thank Representative Adam Koenig (R-Erlanger) for addressing the Business Competitiveness Committee this month. Rep. Koenig focused on Kentucky’s Worker Compensation system and suggested reforms that the state legislature is expected to consider in 2018. GLI Advocacy’s Environment and Energy Committee also welcomed Maria Koetter, Director of Sustainability for Louisville Metro Government, in September as well. She discussed the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory, Tree Canopy Management Plan, and Urban Heat Island Management Plan.
GLI Advocacy is committed to bringing high-quality access to elected and appointed officials to our investors. These interactions are vital in making sure the Greater Louisville’s business community’s concerns are addressed in every level of government. If you would like to get involved, contact GLI Advocacy today.
