Describe what your organization does in two sentences.  As a premiere downtown hotel and meeting destination, the Louisville Marriott offers luxury guestrooms and suites as well as onsite restaurant and bar, full-service Starbucks and connectivity to the Kentucky International Convention Center.  Recognized several times as a Four-Diamond award winning hotel, guests will experience the highest level of service while enjoying the hotel’s amenities and true southern hospitality.

Who do you serve?  Guests from around the world visit the Louisville Marriott Downtown regularly for leisure travel, a Bourbon Country experience and while attending events or conferences taking place within our 50,000+ square feet of event space or neighboring conference venues.

One fact you may not know about my organization is…  The opening of the Louisville Marriott Downtown in 2005  helped to define Louisville’s position in the convention & meetings industry and sparked a downtown revitalization.

What sets your business apart from others in the way you attract and retain talent? Team members are often surprised to learn the many avenues to a career in hospitality that can be offered to them. When joining our team, members can gain exposure to lesser-known areas of the hospitality business such as finance,  human resources and sales & event management.  We will work with our talent to ensure they are getting the exposure to those desired areas of interest.  Some positions even allow for team members to take part in rotational training, getting exposure to each disciple in our industry throughout their time with us.  Additionally, our management company, White Lodging has properties throughout the country that talent may seek opportunities at, should relocation be of interest to them.

How does your organization engage in the community? The Louisville Marriot Downtown proudly supports Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, The KY Humane Society, just to name a few local community partners. In addition, we recently partnered with the Louisville Hotel Association to organize relief efforts for our Eastern KY neighbors, sending two large trucks of supplies to the areas hit hardest by recent flooding.
