GLI Partners on Derby Diversity Business Summit

GLI is partnering with the New Age Community in launching the Inaugural Derby Diversity Business Summit. Expanding economic growth and elevating businesses together is one of our main goals at GLI. Our organization is committed to connecting with business leaders across all walks of life.

The mission of the Derby Diversity Business Summit is to support organizations who work to advance Diverse Owned Businesses. The Summit seeks to help leaders of large corporate businesses develop and strengthen ties with diverse owned firms who have strengths that can help grow the corporation’s market share.

“GLI fully supports the Derby Diversity and Business Summit for minority businesses because this furthers our goals of promoting economic growth and that can only happen if we are all in this together,” Deana Epperly Karem, VP of Regional Economic Growth.

The Kentucky Derby is a special time of year that unites all different types of people from areas beyond Louisville. There’s no better time than the Kentucky Derby to get people together and network. Giving those who are attending the Summit an opportunity to attend The Kentucky Derby is a strategic move to get as many people connected as possible.

The four-day event will be kicked off by a welcome reception hosted by Bingham Greenebaum, Doll LLP, a GLI Top Investor and regional business law firm with a national reach. Summit activities will be held at the Galt House Hotel in Downtown Louisville.

GLI supports the efforts of this “unique event bringing together Women, LGBTQ, Veteran and Minority Businesses for Professional Development and Social Networking.” We are partnering and supporting this inaugural event and encourage everyone to attend.

A portion of the 2018 Summit proceeds will be donated to the National Association of Women Business Owners Kentucky to improve and expand its signature GROW program – an initiative designed to improve operations and strategic growth for diverse owned businesses within the Kentuckiana community.
