Give JCPS Your Feedback on the Student Assignment Plan

Right now, you have an important opportunity to provide feedback on a serious matter that impacts our region.  The Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) is soliciting community feedback on the current student assignment plan.  The online survey runs through December 21st.  The survey asks about everything from commute times on buses to parental preference to communications priorities. The feedback will be used to determine potential changes to the plan through the district’s semi-annual review process.

Currently, GLI holds a seat on the Student Assignment Review Advisory Committee convened by JCPS. The Committee has been working on the plan for the past year and is now soliciting feedback from all members of the community, including business leaders. It is vital that the community engage in this survey to inform decisions about the student assignment plan moving forward.

The business community must make its voice heard on this issue. Ensuring students from all walks of life have to innovative programs and institutions will improve our workforce for decades to come. Even if you do not have a child in JCPS, you have a stake in growing the community of Louisville and its economy in a meaningful way.  Take the survey now.
