Describe what your organization does in two sentences. Every day we strive to earn loyalty from our guests, employees and communities through great food, sincere hospitality, and genuine pride in serving others. We are the definition of upscale/casual meaning we are a place to dress up and celebrate with an aged steak and a great selection of wine or to come in after a walk in your neighborhood or a visit to a museum and relax with a beer and burger.
Who do you serve? At our 3 Bristol locations, we are a square of the quilts in the communities that we operate in. We have been fortunate to serve multiple generations in Louisville and we never take for granted the memories made, happy times for families and friends, celebrations and being the dependable location in your community.
One fact you may not know about my organization is… Our considerable commitment to local farmers and producers from our Bristol Burger ground beef and fresh pork to local produce, dairy, and our local breweries. These partnerships are taken seriously and are built on loyalty, trust, commitment, and love.
What sets your business apart from others in the way you attract and retain talent? It is amazing the number of employees that have worked at the Bristol for 10+, 20+ or even 30+ years. We are proud of the culture and energy throughout our company and hearing our staff refer to each other as their Bristol family is really special.
What do you like about being an investor in Greater Louisville Inc.? Being a small, locally owned business, the policies that can benefit our businesses and employees are often not heard. Being an investor in GLI gives us a voice and allows us to advocate for small businesses and our communities.
How does your organization engage in the community? It’s important for us to earn loyalty from our communities, not only by being something they can be proud of but by giving and actively participating to make our communities safer, cleaner, and more welcoming. On a macro level, we’re active on Boards and/or memberships with organizations that work to progress the communities they represent such as GLI, the Main Street Assoc., Cherokee Triangle Assoc., Highland Commerce Guild, Kentucky Restaurant Assoc., and Louisville Tourism. Throughout the years, we’ve assisted through events, fundraisers, and sponsorships. In recent years this includes The Food Literacy Project, American Lung Association, Wounded Warrior, Apron Inc. and GRANND.
How can people engage with your organization? Choosing to dine at the Bristol means that you’re choosing to support our communities, local farmers, local suppliers, and our employees. The Greater Louisville area has a sincere appreciation for local restaurants, local retail and the Arts community. Now is the time to support what’s unique about our city.
