How Greater Louisville Businesses Fared in the 2015 Kentucky General Assembly
(Louisville, KY) – Greater Louisville Inc. – the Metro Chamber of Commerce, released their 2015 Legislative Outcomes: Obstacles & Opportunities document, which offers a detailed look at how each legislator representing the Greater Louisville region voted on the issues that matter most to the business community. In addition to tallying how the legislators voted, the document contains analyses parsing the legislation and informing business leaders about how these outcomes will affect Greater Louisville businesses.
“By serving as the recognized ‘voice of business,’ GLI is committed to advocating for a more business-friendly climate for the Greater Louisville region,” said President and CEO Kent Oyler. “The Legislative Outcomes show the successes in Frankfort and also illustrate the important work that still needs to be done by Kentucky legislators to advance regional business growth.”
Legislative Outcomes will help business leaders see how legislators acted to advance legislation that will accelerate growth, job creation and business competitiveness. It also looks at pro-business initiatives that did not make it through the legislature this year. GLI closely monitored individual votes on Local Investments for Transformation (LIFT) and heroin abuse to school leadership and telecom reform.
