October 24, 2012 (Louisville, Ky.) – Greater Louisville Inc. – the Metro Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Louisville Defender, is proud to announce PayrollNetwork as the winner of its 2012 Emerging Minority Business Award. President and CEO Kena Samuels-Stith accepted the award at the annual luncheon.
PayrollNetwork is one of the largest minority payroll agencies in the state of Kentucky and also services clients in seven other states. It provides streamlined payroll solutions and human resource assistance. The experienced payroll engineers possess a strong rapport with federal, state, and local tax agencies. The relationship with these entities allows PayrollNetwork to address payroll and tax issues for their clients, so clients can focus on their business with confidence.
PayrollNetwork also gives back to the community. With the assistance of the PayrollNetwork staff, Ms. Samuels-Stith began building the Youth, Ethics, and Skills (Y.E.S.) Program. The mission of the Y.E.S. Program is to support and empower youth to become positive leaders in their home, school, and community. The aim on the program is to cultivate the future crops of Louisville’s inner-city communities.
The Emerging Minority Business Award recognizes local minority businesses whose focus on innovation, community engagement and growth make them an asset to our community and a role model for businesses nationwide. The winner of the award will receive a one year complimentary GLI membership, an opportunity to be recognized at a GLI Board of Directors meeting, and personalized business development consultative services from GLI’s EnterpriseCorp.
“It is with great pride that GLI honors a local business annually with the Emerging Minority Business Award,” said Tracee Troutt, Interim CEO of Greater Louisville Inc. “We are committed to making the Louisville business community both inclusive and prosperous and the nominees for this award are paramount in making that happen.”
