About HIRE
A collaborative forum to promote business and community prosperity, the HIRE (Higher Income Requires Education) Forum fosters collaboration among the post-secondary institutions with the purpose of aligning regional community economic development goals to form the foundation of a regionally responsive workforce development system.
HIRE consists of 31 institutional members representing approximately 86% of the regions’ post secondary community. Eleven members make up the Executive Council, which represent 85% of the region’s college student population.
HIRE is guided by the Executive Council and is partnered with a Chief Learning Council, which consists of employer representatives. The Career Services Committee comprised of career services and internship/cooperative education representatives, works closely with Intern To Earn.
