MOSAIC Awards Nominations Being Accepted Now – Honor a New American

(October 2009) Louisville, KY --- Jewish Family & Career Services is seeking nominations now to honor new or first-generation immigrants and refugees who excel in the fields of:

  • Medical/Health Care
  • Education
  • Technology
  • Business/Commerce
  • Entrepreneurs
  • Government
  • Sports
  • Arts

AWARD

Honorees will receive the MOSAIC Award, an artistic representation of Multicultural Opportunities for Success and Achievement In our Community. 

DEADLINE

The deadline for submitting a nomination is December 1, 2009

NOMINATIONS & REVIEW

Nominations can be made by individuals or organizations, and a review committee of community leaders will select the honorees.

AWARDS DINNER

The MOSAIC Awards dinner event will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at The Henry Clay. This is the fifth anniversary for the awards, and there will be special recognition of past honorees. WLKY will serve as Media Sponsor. A cocktail reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner/program at 6:15 p.m. Individual tickets to the MOSAIC Awards are $100 per person, and numerous levels of sponsorships are available to individuals and businesses.  For tickets or sponsorship information, contact Beverly Bromley at 452-6341.

“JFCS honors New Americans because we believe the recognition of their contributions expresses the heart and soul of our agency,” commented Judy Freundlich-Tiell, Executive Director.  “Since 1908, JFCS has assisted many refugees and immigrants to integrate into their new homeland.”  The agency’s Multicultural Services division currently serves clients from 64 countries, providing financial skills training, microenterprise development and lending, career planning and employment services.
