In 2000, Greater Louisville Inc. and Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC partnered to create the Inc.credible Awards to honor outstanding small businesses in our community.

Small businesses lay the foundation for Greater Louisville's economy. They create new jobs and new wealth, empowering people to use their skills. They play a vital role in the local community and economy- combined they represent Greater Louisville's largest employer.

The Inc.credible Awards salute outstanding small businesses (with fewer than 100 employees) in these six categories:
   Businesses with 1-9 Employees
   Businesses with 10-49 Employees
   Businesses with 50-99 Employees
   Minority-Owned Business
   Woman-Owned Business
   NEW! Non-profit Business

Independent judges will select winners from qualified candidates based on the following criteria:
   Community Involvement
   Growth in Employment
   Number of Years in Business
   Financial Performance
   Innovativeness of Product/Service
   Response to Adversity

The six Inc.credible Award winners were announced at the Celebration of Small Business Luncheon on May 20, 2009.

Nominees must be locally owned and operated in the Louisville area, and must have been in business prior to January 1, 2006. Nominees do not have to be a GLI member and self nominations are welcomed.
