Greater
Louisville Inc.'s Environmental Affairs Committee supports the protection
and preservation of all of Kentucky's natural resources and greatly
values the health and quality of life of its citizens. It favors environmental
policies that promote growth in the best interest of the community
and encourages proactive cooperation between government and business.
The Committee's mission is to provide a forum for the thorough examination of local, state and national environmental issues and regulations relevant to the business and economic development of the community. The committee:

Directly interfaces with and provides oversight
and business input to local, state and federal level regulatory
agencies. |

Proactively participates with all regulatory agencies in drafting
or changing regulations that affect companies within the metropolitan
region. |

Advises the Greater Louisville Inc. Board on issues impacting
companies, economic competitiveness, and community growth and
development within the metropolitan region. |

Serves as a technical, informational and educational resource
for GLI, its members and the community. |
| • |
Supports the development of environmental legislative priorities.

Provides a forum for environmental practitioners to engage
in professional and technical discussion and networking. |
