Louisville is it for Coke IT office

 Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. will locate an information services development center in Louisville, creating about 35 full-time jobs.

Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Enterprises expects to open the 5,600-square-foot office sometime in the first quarter of 2009.

Coca-Cola Enterprises is the world's largest marketer, distributor and producer of Coca-Cola products. It sells about 80 percent of Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Co.'s North American volume. It also is the sole licensed bottler for Coke products in Belgium, continental France, Great Britain, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Monaco. Read more.

Enterprise Corp. selects ‘Hot Dozen’

 The Enterprise Corp., a division of Greater Louisville Inc., the metro chamber of commerce, has selected its 2008 "Hot Dozen" companies.

The following companies were selected because of their commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship:  Advanced Cancer Therapeutics LLC, APOImmune Inc., CreoSalus Inc., GreenerWay LLC, LendingCycle Inc., Immuno Theragnostics Inc., Prometheus Industries Inc., SCR Inc., SinglePipe Communications Inc., MedX12 Inc., DEAN Alert LLC, and VuPal Network LLC. U of L gains top Carnegie ranking

The University of Louisville has received the highest ranking of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching in the area of community engagement.

The foundation's ranking identifies U of L as a "community engagement institution," a classification it developed in 2006.

U of L is one of three schools in Kentucky to earn the Carnegie designation in the two areas of curricular engagement and outreach and partnerships. Read more.

MedX12 is expanding

MedX12, a healthcare services provider, offering a number of secure, web-based, user-friendly information exchange solutions to healthcare providers across the U.S., is creating 46 new jobs with an annual payroll of more than $1.9 million. 
 
The company plans to make an investment of $405,400. Read more.
