About The World Equestrian Games
Once every four years, the World Equestrian Games feature the most
talented equestrian athletes in the world. 600 riding competitors and 700 horses from more than 60 countries will compete in eight equestrian
disciplines recognized by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI):
Dressage, Driving, Endurance, Eventing, Jumping, Para Dressage, Reining,
and Vaulting.

The 2010 competition is the first time this event has been hosted outside of Europe. 600,000 spectators and 460 million television viewers from around the world will watch The Games. The statewide economic impact of the 16-day competition is estimated at $150 million.

World Championship Dressage
The FEI Rules describe the object of Dressage, which means "training" in French, as "the development of the horse into a happy athlete through harmonious education."
Driving World Championships
The WEG World Championship Combined Driving Event is competed for by four-in-hand drivers only. This means that each driver drives a team of four horses throughout the three competitions of the event.
World Championship Endurance
An Endurance Ride is a competition testing the speed and the endurance ability of the horse. To be successful, the competitor must have knowledge of pace and efficient and safe use of his horse across country.
World Championship Eventing
An all around test of horse and rider, the Three Day Event or CCI comprises three distinct tests, taking place on separate days, during which the competitor rides the same horse throughout.
World Championship Jumping
A Jumping competition is one in which the combination of horse and rider is tested under various conditions over a course of obstacles.
Para Dressage
The para dressage discipline provides riders with physical disabilities the opportunity to compete in high performance equestrian sport along side able bodied riders from all over the world.
World Championship Reining
Reining is a judged event designed to show the athletic ability of a western type horse in a show arena. In Reining, competitors are required to run one of several approved patterns.
World Championship Vaulting
The sport of Vaulting is a competitive discipline where both gymnastic and dance elements are combined and performed to music on a cantering horse
