     Business to Business:

      Annual Meeting
    A must attend event, the GLI Annual Meeting brings a Who’ s Who of our region’s business and community leaders together for one night, at one location for a big celebration. Award presentations, special guests and exceptional networking make this one of the hottest nights in town. The 2011 Annual Meeting will be held March 15 and feature a keynote address from Alan Mulally, President & CEO, Ford Motor Company.

     Celebration of Small Business Luncheon and Inc.credible Awards

    This annual celebration is the region’s signature small business event. Inc.credible Awards (for businesses with under 100 employees) are presented and the entire small business community is celebrated for its ongoing contribution to our region’s economic vitality. An inspirational event for anyone who knows the importance of small businesses dreaming big, this is must-attend celebration for companies of all sizes.

    Audience: Small to medium-sized businesses and general membership
    Sponsorship Levels: Range from $2,500 to $10,000


     EnterpriseCorp Signature Event 

    Learn about the latest fast growth companies – small to large in size – that make up the High Impact Portfolio. This breakfast – which recognizes those companies – is open to the public, making it a great opportunity for the business community to network with Louisville’s fast-growth sector. Presented by EnterpriseCorp, the enterprise development arm of Greater Louisville Inc.

    Projected Attendance: 250
    Audience: Entrepreneurs, investors, elected officials, and executives from key entrepreneurial service providers
    Sponsorship Levels: Range from $1,000 to $5,000


     Logist-X Games 

    An annual event put on by the Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics Network, the Logist-X Games has grown from a local competition to a regional event, bringing in four other cities from the region. Pitting company teams against each other in logistics exercises, the regional winners come to Louisville to compete for the overall championship. Sponsorships available for both the qualifying and championship games.

    Audience: Various manufacturing and logistics companies around the region

     Top Investor Series

    This program is exclusively available to GLI members who invest above and beyond their annual dues to support GLI’s economic, enterprise and community development efforts. Hosted four times per year at various locations, these gatherings are renowned for VIP speakers and premier executive networking.

    Projected Attendance: 150+ per event
    Audience: Invite only to GLI Top Investors
    Sponsorship Levels: Range from $1,500 to $12,000


     Total Resource Campaign

    The Total Resource Campaign is Greater Louisville Inc.’s annual campaign to sell memberships, advertising and sponsorships – building the overall resources of GLI. The campaign is volunteer-driven, involving a large force of business executives in our community.

    Throughout the campaign, volunteers have many opportunities to build relationships. There are networking sessions, frequent Team Captain and Vice Chair meetings throughout the campaign, additional professional development opportunities for volunteers and our Victory Celebration finale event.

    The top producers of the campaign attend a “leadership planning retreat” to celebrate their success.

    Time of Year: August through January
    Audience: C Level, top executives, area business leaders

     Wake Up Wind Down 

    Greater Louisville Inc. and Business First have joined forces to offer the area’s largest networking program. Held six times per year at various locations throughout the metro area, this networking series is the perfect opportunity to make new contacts from a variety of industries in a high-energy, social atmosphere.

    Time of Year: 4 times/year
    Projected Attendance: 300-500
    Audience: Small to medium sized business owners, middle management, individuals looking to network and build contacts
    Sponsorship Levels: Range from $1,500 to $10,000
     


    Community and Professional Development:

     Capitol Connection
    Capitol Connection events (held five times a year) give the business community access to legislative leaders, issues and information. Guest speakers provide political insights at the local, state and federal levels. Topic-based forums offer attendees expert insight on issues important both at the office and at home – from education reform to community development and more.

     GLIDE – Greater Louisville Idea Development Expedition 

    The Greater Louisville Idea Development Expedition (GLIDE) is an annual, invitation-only executive program for regional business and community leaders. The program promotes learning, brainstorming and relationship building that is critical to regional visioning and progress. In the Fall of 2011, GLIDE will head to Toronto.

    Time of Year: September 25th-27th in 2011
    Projected Attendance: 100-150
    Audience: Top-level executives, C Level, area business leaders, and elected officials
    2011 Location: Toronto
    Sponsorship Levels: Range from $3,000 to $20,000


     G.L.I.P. – Greater Louisville International Professionals
     

    GLIP organizes meets after work to connect with international professionals, academics, accomplished leaders, entrepreneurs, and recruiters who share one thing in common – a global perspective. Showcase your company’s commitment to the diversity and internationalization of our community by sponsoring one of these events.

    Audience: Established and new International professionals, business community, academia, etc.

     Hispanic Latino Business Council (HLBC) 

    A Greater Louisville Inc. affiliate, the HLBC is a membership based partnership between the Hispanic business community and Greater Louisville Inc. The council's mission is to create, advance and promote economic opportunities for Hispanic/Latino businesses and individuals in the Greater Louisville region.

     Intern To Earn 
    GLI’s Intern to Earn program is designed to attract and retain talented students and young professionals to Louisville. With over 600 interns recognized in the city from all around the country, we work to connect them with each other, the community, and Louisville business leaders, all with the goal of showing them what Louisville has to offer for their future.

     Legislative Dinner

    GLI hosts this annual signature event to recognize Jefferson County’s elected officials for their contributions to Greater Louisville’s growth and prosperity. A national-caliber speaker provides insights on the latest political developments while attendees network with state legislators, Metro Council representatives and Metro Government officials. The event allows the business community to advocate for its top priorities.

    Audience: C level, Top Executives and business leaders within the community that have a vested interest in legislative issues that will impact the business community as well as federal, state and local officials.

     Louisville Day In Frankfort

    Join Greater Louisville’s business and community leaders on a day-trip to Frankfort. Meet with Jefferson County legislators, General Assembly leadership, members of the Governor’s administration and more. Help advocate for the business community’s top priorities while networking with other business leaders. The event includes an evening reception with our region’s community and political leaders.

     Louisville Reunion

    Louisville Reunions are part of GLI’s talent attraction initiative, which strives to connect top-notch talent with Louisville employers, job opportunities and relocation information. In partnership with the Mayor’s office, GLI hosts reunions on an annual basis in targeted cities around the country. Each Reunion attracts an average of 400-600 guests who attend the event for free and enjoy cocktails and appetizers while becoming reacquainted with the growth and opportunity that Louisville has to offer.

    Audience: Educated and experienced professionals with pre-existing connections to our region, but who are currently residing in other major markets around the country

    Begin your day at this acclaimed speakers series that provides relevant business information, local insights and a hot breakfast– all before 9am. Each Business at Breakfast (events are held four times per year) features a panel of the region’s hottest business leaders sharing their expertise through interaction with the audience and each other.

     Enterprise Exchange

    This ongoing series is ideal for executives who want their company to reach the next level of growth. Exchange events feature relevant topics ranging from our changing economy to managing an evolving business. Attendees have the opportunity to share their experiences with colleagues, hear from local business leaders who have experienced growth, and prepare to execute their strategic objectives.

     Hot Dozen Showcase 

    Warm up at this annual, by-invitation-only cocktail reception hosted by GLI’s ENTERPRISECORP. The evening showcases 12 of the region’s hottest companies and celebrates Greater Louisville’s entrepreneurial vitality.

     How to Network Series

    Refresh your networking skills at this fast-paced seminar covering the top 10 networking techniques used by successful business professionals, entrepreneurs and high performance networkers. The two-hour seminar, presented by The Michael Strickland Group, is held several times per year and is open to the first 40 GLI members who register.

    Audience: General membership

     Small Business Breakfast Club

    Meeting five times in 2011, GLI’s Small Business Breakfast Club (SBBC) combines educational topics with networking. SBBC is a place where small business owners, entrepreneurs and suppliers can gain useful knowledge and make valuable contacts. Food, networking and an opportunity to learn -- a winning combination.

     Talent Attraction Forum 

    GLI’s Talent Attraction Forum is a network created to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and best practices among human resource professionals who focus on talent recruitment. TAF members also support and assist in the development of community initiatives that improve our region’s ability to attract and retain a skilled and educated workforce. There are currently over 150 member companies and 500 individuals are invited to attend TAF meetings and events.

    Audience: HR Professionals
