JP Morgan Chase Chairman & CEO Jamie Dimon to Keynote GLI Annual Meeting

Greater Louisville Inc. – the Metro Chamber of Commerce, announced today that Jamie Dimon, Chairman of the Board and CEO of JP Morgan Chase will be the keynote speaker at its 2013 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, March 19.

Dimon has served as the Chairman of JP Morgan Chase since December 2006, and has been Chief Executive Officer and President since December 2005.  He serves on the Board of Directors of the New York Federal Reserve and has been named as one of Time Magazine’s World’s Most Influential People in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2011.

Economic Development Incentives Approved for One Company Considering Job Growth in Louisville

One company considering Louisville for expansion was preliminarily approved for an economic development incentive at this morning’s meeting of the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) in Frankfort, Ky. This project could create 52 new jobs, $1.3 million in new annual payroll and $2.9 million in new investment.

“Louisville is known as a transportation and logistics hub, and Pegasus Packaging and Pegasus Industries has come to the right place to open a new supply chain solutions facility,” Mayor Greg Fischer said. “Louisville is centrally located and has robust connections via rail, interstate, air and river to be able to ship anywhere in the world.”

Craig Richard selected as the new President & CEO of Greater Louisville Inc.

Louisville, KY (November 8, 2012) – Greater Louisville Inc. announced today that Craig J. Richard will become the business leadership organization’s new President & CEO, effective January 7. Richard comes to GLI from the Greater Houston Partnership where he has been serving as its Chief Economic Development Officer since 2008.

Economic Development Incentives Approved for Two Companies Considering Job Growth in Louisville

Two companies considering Louisville for expansion were given approval for economic development incentives at this morning’s meeting of the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) in Frankfort, Ky. These projects could create 40 new jobs, $3.3 million in new annual payroll and $1.4 million in new investment.

“We are excited about the future of both of these companies, and are thankful they are interested in Louisville,” said Mayor Greg Fischer. “Both of these companies show the importance of the efforts we are making in attracting and retaining more technologically advanced and entrepreneurial types of thinking.”

October 24, 2012 (Louisville, Ky.) – Greater Louisville Inc. – the Metro Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Louisville Defender, is proud to announce PayrollNetwork as the winner of its 2012 Emerging Minority Business Award. President and CEO Kena Samuels-Stith accepted the award at the annual luncheon.
