Martha Layne Collins International Trade Excellence Award

Deadline is June 1, 2012

The World Trade Center of Kentucky invites your company to apply for the 2012 Martha Layne Collins International Trade Excellence Award

The World Trade Center of Kentucky's Martha Layne Collins International Trade Award is the first international trade award given by the Governor of Kentucky. Formerly known as the World Trade Success award, this prestigious honor recognizes companies in Kentucky and in our region successfully engaged in international trade. The Awards Committee is made up of WTC-KY staff and various representatives from the business community who work to identify the very best international trade success stories to be spotlighted at an annual awards luncheon.

Each year, over 400 representatives from business, industry and government sectors gather to recognize firms for outstanding achievements in international trade at the World Trade Day Awards Luncheon. Organized by the World Trade Center of Kentucky, World Trade Day has become the Commonwealth's largest annual gathering of international trade professionals. This year's program will be held on August 20, 2012 at the Marriott Griffin Gate in Lexington, Kentucky and will also include a delegation of foreign dignitaries assembled to speak to attendees about doing business with their respective countries.

Recent winners include AAPPTec, Link-Belt Construction Equipment, Phoenix Process Equipment, Restorative Medical, Superior Battery, Whip Mix and Zoeller Pump Company. This year's winners will be recognized and celebrated for their outstanding international trade achievements, and will be presented with trophies at the awards luncheon.

There are no fees or obligations associated with selection as an award recipient. We ask only that the winning companies plan to have a representative attend the World Trade Day awards luncheon on August 20, 2012, agree to allow media coverage of their summarized success stories, and attend the press conference taking place before the luncheon program.

Please see the below awards criteria and awards application.   Please send all submissions to yingjuan@kwtc.org by June 1.
