As the region's foremost business leadership organization, GLI is committed to helping Greater Louisville achieve its vision of becoming the Idea Capital of the World, where imaginations and individuals thrive. An integral part of that vision is the ability to turn innovations into products and services and grow ideas from start-up venture to established company.
To facilitate that process, GLI has an entire division, ENTERPRISECORP, devoted to enterprise development and cultivating Louisville's entrepreneurial vitality. With help from our community partners, the ENTERPRISECORP team keeps Louisville at the top of the nation’s list of “entrepreneurial hot spots” by identifying and serving the companies that create the vast majority of new wealth, new revenue and new jobs. Our clients range from technology start-ups to established, fast growth companies to mature businesses in traditional industries.
Be the Voice.
We shine the light on entrepreneurs and the investors who fund them via our many communication efforts. These efforts make it more likely that our region’s innovators and high-net-worth individuals will take an active role in one of our emerging companies.
Build the Infrastructure.
We identify needs or gaps in the region’s entrepreneurial infrastructure, and then fill those gaps either directly or indirectly. Examples include: developing new sources of capital (such as KY Seed Fund and Enterprise Angels), enhancing educational programs (including the Venture Club of Louisville and our Enterprise Exchange Series), and advocating for a favorable tax code.
We serve a portfolio of over 250 active clients, and we become virtual members of their team in order to help them succeed.
