Louisville (August 1, 2012) -- Louisville will host 1,000 chamber of commerce executives and partners from North America and overseas for the annual national convention of American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). The convention will begin today and run through Saturday, August 4th at the Kentucky International Convention Center.
The national convention was recruited to Louisville by Greater Louisville Inc.
"We are excited to welcome so many of our fellow chamber professionals to Louisville,” says Tracee Troutt, interim CEO of Greater Louisville Inc. “This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the region and the hard work we do to be a driving force for transformation."
“ACCE is pumped to bring its annual convention to Louisville,” says Mick Fleming, ACCE’s president. “Over the next few days our members will experience this vibrant downtown, hear from pundits, practitioners and global corporate leaders. Highlights of the conference include presentations by David Novak, Chairman & CEO of Yum! Brands Inc, Katty Kay, Anchor of BBC World News America, Rana Foroohar of TIME Magazine and James Cunningham, President & CEO of Funny Money Inc. The annual meeting will include a bevy of additional speakers, educational opportunities, networking and idea sharing from some of the best-run chambers in the world.
