TALENT – The franchise business requires particularly strong leadership and specialized knowledge. Louisville’s long and successful history with growing franchisors and franchisees has helped us grow that industry talent base. From multi-unit managers to corporate executives to local law and marketing firms with franchise experience, Louisville is well supplied with the key ingredient for company growth: people.

SUPPORT – Louisville’s Franchise Advisory Council is comprised of knowledgeable and successful representatives from franchise
related backgrounds. With expertise on a variety of issues, the council will provide consultative support to help
accelerate the growth of local concepts.  Louisville’s universities are working to create a professional development curriculum specifically for franchise management and leadership. This innovative partnership will deliver industry-wide skills, knowledge and best practices in an academically rigorous environment.

Louisville is helping local industries fill their workforce pipeline by improving the college-to-workforce transition with the Intern To Earn program. A one-stop-shop for intern employers and potential interns, the program matches the best and brightest young talent with entry-level positions across a variety of career paths. Special attention is being paid to the franchise industry where GLI is working to connect franchise leadership directly with universities to improve awareness about careers in this industry.

    COST SAVINGS
    – With its pro-business attitude, low cost of doing business and low taxes, Greater Louisville offers a supportive and progressive climate for business. The region’s dynamic, diversified economy has out-performed the U.S. in job and income growth on a per capita basis throughout the last decade.
